With only 600 registered members, approximately 350 of whom are bottlers, the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium now represents 95% of the entire denomination and avails of a modern, structured and professional organisation to best carry out the objectives of its foundation: to safeguard and promote Chianti Classico wine and its brand. 

From the safeguarding side, which involves the laboratory and legal issues, to promotion, entrusted to the marketing and communications office, the consortium is articulated in different bodies bound by a common commitment to producers and consumers of the "Classico" and its land of origin.
